Welcome to Marshfield Alternative High School!
In operation since 2000, Marshfield Alternative High School (MAHS) has provided a pathway for hundreds of students to receive a Marshfield High School Diploma.
Students come to the Alternative School for a variety of reasons. The expertise of our faculty and flexibility of the program provide an opportunity for any motivated student to experience academic success.
The MAHS learning community emphasizes four curricular areas.
These include:
✔ Individualized learning
✔ Community involvement
✔ Small group instruction
✔ Self-paced coursework.
Marshfield Alternative High School is not an alternative to learning. It is an alternative way to learn.
Graduates will earn 25 credits, with the same number of core courses that are required at Marshfield High School.
These programs incorporate various instructional methods creating a flexible learning environment within a structured school community based on student needs.
Admissions
Admission to the alternative school is a collaborative process that gathers input from:
- the student
- parent(s)/guardian(s)
- school counselor
- MAHS staff
The process usually begins with a referral from a school counselor.
