Welcome to Marshfield High School!
Hello MHS Families!
I would like to introduce myself as your new Principal at Marshfield High School. 2026-2027 will be my ninth year as a school administrator as I began my administrative career as an Associate Principal at John Muir Middle School in Wausau. The past three school years, I served as Principal at Shawano Community High School. My teaching career began in 2005 at the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Unified School District in Physical Education and Health, while I also served in the Wausau School District in the same capacity.
I am very excited to begin this school year amidst the various improvements happening at MHS in relationship to the referendum project. I will do my very best to keep families informed as the project progresses, especially when the project will impact the operations of the building and the learning environment for students. As I am becoming familiar with the referendum, the project will offer tremendous opportunities for students to pursue their passions, strive for excellence and graduate ready for college, career, and life.
I am extremely encouraged by the opportunities MHS offers to challenge students with rigorous academics and varied athletic and extracurricular activities. I am a firm believer that we can positively impact students by connecting them to their future aspirations. As I learn more about MHS, we are serving our students well by offering a comprehensive high school experience.
My personal message to students and staff will be to believe that “Hard Work Pays Off” and to “Pursue Excellence” in all aspects of their lives. I strongly believe that when we take personal ownership over these concepts, we create the right mindset to actualize our potential. I am looking forward to meeting with students in the coming weeks as we lead up to the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
